# Powers Promise

> Powers Promise is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity (EIN 82-1063938) founded by Kimberly and Trevor Powers in honor of their son, Trent. Its mission is to promote awareness, educate others, and partner with DMD organizations to help find a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).

Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) is the most common fatal genetic disorder diagnosed in childhood, affecting roughly 1 in every 3,500 boys (about 20,000 new cases worldwide each year). It is a progressive muscle disorder with no current cure. 100% of Powers Promise support goes toward funding the most promising medical research. All donations are tax deductible.
